By making sure your preschooler doesn't turn out to be a mac daddy with no integrity but instead has a servants heart when he becomes a boy/teen/man and goes into the world without you on his hip!
Also by doing things they can help you do! I have taken my kids with me to a bunch of serving opportunities including building homes in Immokalee, serving food in homeless shelters, taking Christmas gifts to a single mom of 6 in a one bedroom trailer, giving turkeys and food bags to needy around Thanksgiving etc. When they see there are people just like them that don't have as much as they have, they are reminded of how grateful they ought to be.
We are trying to find a place to serve in our church too, which is tough with a newborn. Nursery soon!
