Here it is... funny- some people are asking where my baby bump is, and yet others are saying they can't believe I am showing this much. Tell me what you think... honestly.

Do I Have to LOOK Pregnant?!
I am more vain than I thought. Okay, I guess I knew it; I just kept wanting to believe differently. When I was pregnant with Andrew, some of my early thoughts on the subject of size and appearance included: Who cares if I get big? I'm carrying a baby, right? No one is going to say anything about the size of a pregnant woman! And so on and so forth...
Well, I learned all too quickly how those were naive thoughts of the first-time, newly pregnant. It wasn't long before I felt overly large, considering my stature doesn't allow much room for baby to spread out vertically. Soon I was getting comments not unlike what any other pregnant woman has heard: Are you having twins? When are you due- you look like you are ready now! Boy, you've really popped out! Wow, you're huge (yes, that was my favorite - not!)! Now, before you all think this is merely a commentary on the thoughtless things people say, stay with me. It really isn't.
As the months went by, particularly entering months 7 and 8, I really thought it was a joke. My swelling kicked into high gear, I had started outgrowing some of my maternity clothes (yikes!), and I developed cankles: you couldn't tell where my calves ended and my ankles began. I began to refer to the lower portion of my used-to-be legs as elephant feet.
While I would never trade all this for the alternative of not having been pregnant, I entered quite a dark time about two months before Drew was born and it lasted until about he was six months old. The reason for this is because I felt the most unfeminine, unattractive, and uncoordinated I had ever felt in my entire life.
Fast forward to now, and as soon as I knew I was pregnant, I have been telling myself: Maybe you can be different this time. Maybe you can walk and run so much that you don't gain much weight. Maybe this time you'll be prettier while you're pregnant. Maybe you can try harder to deny yourself all the little edible indulgences you allowed yourself last time. Maybe this, maybe that... you get the idea.
I have come to realize I can do all I can to keep healthy, but (duh!), I am going to look pregnant! Why? Because I am! I am supposed to! I know I am going to struggle with this in my thought life. I am asking, with all sincerity, if you all will pray, first and foremost, for a healthy pregnancy and safe baby. Second, will you moms pray for me in this area with which I know I struggle? Your prayers, along with my own, and my daily casting this burden on the Lord, will make all the difference.
As excited as I am to be carrying our second child, it is still humbling to dig out the maternity clothes and even start putting some on (but just the small ones so far!). I keep wondering if I can just suck in my stomach, but as I learned last time, that only works for so long!

Turning Over a New Leaf?
I don't know if it is because I'm 30 now, or if it is because it's a new year, and a fresh start perhaps. But I've been less reluctant to begin or go back to some things that previously were just passing thoughts or I didn't see the importance in, or I just lacked the desire to complete (read: laziness).
1. I took a BIG step WAY out of my comfort zone and committed to attending RefresHer on Tuesday mornings. I am so glad that God has continually put it on my heart, slowly preparing me for when His timing was perfect. I am excited for what God has in store during the time of this study, and am already very encouraged by it.
2. This is where I am most afraid of failure: any kind of physical exercise. I love to exercise, though you wouldn't know it to look at me! I always feel so good during and afterwards. However, I have a list over a mile long (longer than any distance I could ever run) of reasons why I haven't been faithful in this area. So I found this: The Couch to 5K Running Plan. I am hoping and praying that I can shed some of this extra weight and be in better overall health by following this plan.
I hope to post more 'new things' in the near future, but these are two big things for me to get me started. Please, please - no nay-sayers. Encouraging words only!

Personal Goals at my 30th Year
Come on, I'm an accountant- I have to make a lists!
- Accept Christ as Lord and Saviour (5 years old)
- Hike part of the Appalachian Trail (12)
- Be baptized as Christ commanded (13 )
- Graduate High School (17 )
- Graduate College (21 )
- Get Married (23 )
- Go on a Cruise (23 )
- Dream Job (before being a mommy) (23 )
- Buy a House (26)
- Help adults learn to read, write and speak English (26)
- Have a Baby (27)
- Become a Stay-At-Home Mom (28)
- Plan my sister's wedding (29)
I still have lots of goals (some more shallow than others), and some I hoped to check off before 30, but now those will be on the list for the next decade. PLEASE keep in mind these are not my parenting goals, not my spiritual goals- I'm not going that deep here- so before you judge me- these are simply things that I would like to do:
- Go on a Police Ride-A-Long
- Take a ride on a motorcycle (no, I don't want to be the one driving)
- Hike another part of the Appalachian Trail
- Visit Washington, D.C.
- Have another baby... or two... or more?
- Meet Bobby Flay, Iron Chef
- Vacation out west
- Tour Italy (this requires my getting over my fear of flying and of flying over water, so probably not going to happen)
- Experience all four seasons at least once in the same location
- Be an aunt to my sister's & brother-in-love's future child(ren)
- Take Andrew to Disney World
- Be part of on-location aid for disaster relief
- Participate in a mission trip
What is a special peronal goal you hope to check off in the next decade of your life?

I'll show you mine... if you show me yours
So my friend, Jen, (by the way, I have four friends named Jen- it can get kind of confusing) posted this on her website
and then asked to see the feet of her friends... I'm with you, girl! Here are mine:
What do yours look like?
