Miscellaneous Sillyness
Andrew begged Nana to put him in her cooler and wheel him around... who knows why he liked this so much!
The center of attention at an outdoor Big Band concert in the park downtown; Drew had a few hundred '' grandpas and grandmas" just fussing over him as he entertained all of them- he was the side show to the band...
Chocolate soymilk- boy, was that a hit!
No, our little boy is NOT wearing lipstick; he LOVED the berry tart dessert this night after dinner!
Drew was in the garage with me while I was doing laundry. After I was done switching things to the dryer, I turned around to find him standing in the laundry cart waiting for me to give him a ride!

Spaghetti Sauce!
I have been trying since Dave and I were married almost six years ago to come up with my signature spaghetti sauce. I have fallen short of my expectations each and every time, while learning from each attempt.
TA DA- I've finally got it! I have found the concoction that just makes me want to sit and eat the whole pot of sauce by itself- it is that yummy! And the best part is, Dave told me tonight that he loves the sauce so much he could just sit and eat it by itself! Isn't that the best? I know, many of you ladies will think I am SOOOOO victorian, but we all know that we can speak to our husband's heart very quickly through his tummy.

Ace of Cakes
For anyone who doesn't know (you probably don't), one of my favorite TV shows is Ace of Cakes on the Food Network. It's now in Season 3, and let me tell you, I find it just as entertaining, and sometimes even more so, than the first season. It is on Thursday nights at 10 pm on the Food Network. I always record it because I'm usually not home when it airs, but I love to watch it at a later time, especially because I can skip all the commercials.
This show chronicles the weekly adventures of an extreme cake baking/decorating/building business out of Baltimore. To say Duff Goldman and his staff are talented is an understatement. You will be amazed at what they do with CAKE! How exciting can a show about cake be, right? Well, considering all these folks are very colorful characters, and make for great entertainment, it is a pretty funny show.
If you want to learn more about Duff, the owner and Ace of Cakes himself, and his trusty, twisted and talented crew, go to www.aceofcakestv.com. This is the Food Network nighttime website. The website from where they actually conduct business is www.charmcitycakes.com.
If you check out the show, let me know how you like it!

Do your friends feel needed?
I know, I know-- we are all SOOOO busy we don't even have time for each other, right? Wrong!
I want to challenge anyone who is reading this (I'm sorry if reading my blog is how you spend your time- you really must find some other source of entertainment :o) to try to make a difference for one of your friends within the next two weeks. Ask her to help you with something, offer to take her somewhere where the two of you can catch up, surprise her by asking her thoughts on something you have been pondering (can be as simple as what movie to rent or how she gets a set stain out of her white blouse).... use your imagination and I'm sure you will come up with something.

Nibble Tray
Andrew has become increasingly selective about his eating in the middle of the day, usually resulting in his not eating hardly anything. So I recalled something from a Dr. Sears book I read when Andrew was a newborn and I HAD TIME TO READ: place a variety of foods (different tastes, textures and sizes) in an ice cube tray and let him explore! The first photo is how I served the tray to Andrew and the second photo is all that was left! The nibble tray idea worked great- I guess that Sears guy is a Dr. for a reason....

No Pictures?
Well, I haven't been able to post pictures lately because for some reason our DSL connection is currently a little unreliable... I spend many minutes uploading photos and then, BAM! My screen goes back to a blank post page, and I usually don't have time to start over.
SO I am taking this opportunity to 'speak' more than post photos. Right now, it is Friday about 12:30 in the afternoon, and Andrew is taking an early nap that I will have to wake him from shortly. We are leaving in a little bit to go to see the elementary kids at David's school in their Spring Musical. I just know Andrew is going to love the singing and the music- he always enjoys such things.
I am going to work tonight after having the past two nights off. It was nice to have a break because for the past several weeks I have been on the schedule for five nights in a row, and that has done everything possible to alter the family and home life to which I had just gotten us all accustomed.
We are getting ready to plan our Anniversary trip that is coming up in a little over a month, and we are able to do that with a small portion of the money we found out we are getting back from the IRS. Another small portion will go to permitting, materials, and constructing the gate and fence for our front yard/driveway area.
Thank you, Conard, for helping with our taxes again this year. Your kindness is a true blessing to us!
I hear my sweet, tired (TIRED!) baby boy waking, so I need to run and get us ready to go.
