To celebrate his special day today, we packed up early and headed out toward the beach. We stopped at McDonald's, and Drew had his very own hash browns (this was not breakfast, it was a snack).
We continued on, practicing saying "I'm two!" all the way to Clam Pass. We unloaded our beach umbrella, beach chairs, toys, a cooler packed with lunch, and Drew's red car he likes to ride in. As soon as the tram driver spotted us unloading, he drove right over and loaded us up to drive us the half-mile down the boardwalk to the beach. We found a nice spot to sit and play, and enjoyed going for a walk, building sand "castles," jumping waves in the water, and applying LOTS of sunscreen.
After eating lunch and Drew trying to take a nap on the sand, we packed up and headed back to the parking lot. Drew fell asleep while riding in his little red car, so I carried him the half-mile back and sent Daddy with everything else on the tram to get the truck loaded and cooled down.
Once home, we built a giant fort in the living room out of tents that Drew received as birthday gifts and spent hours playing in them.
After a nap, Daddy and Drew moved the truck over so we could take the car to go to dinner.
We went to the pizza and pasta place just down the road (yes, there is somewhere close to us!) from our house. Andrew LOVED his spaghetti and meatballs!
What a wonderful day to celebrate our gift from the Lord!

Happy Birthday to Drew! Looks like you guys had a great (and FULL) day! Love the pasta face!
How precious! The time goes so fast! Before you know it, he'll be starting Pre-K at FBA just like Christopher is doing this year! Wow! :)
